1968 was an awful year to live through for anyone, especially a kid. When I originally wrote this review on Christmas night 2006, Id been nostalgically pondering a Christmas 42 years distant- I was 14 then. On “America,” however, there is a fine horn arrangement, and “A Hazy Shade of Winter” is simple but compelling.
